Ride London comes to Blake End

We are looking forward to this big cycling event coming very close to us here at Blake House Craft Centre and we will be OPEN to visitors. If you want to watch the event, come along and visit us, enjoy refreshments at the Sconch Tea Rooms and browse our shops over the weekend. Doer Cycles will be open for all your cycling needs and don’t miss our newest shop, Artisans Hub, offering a wide range of products and gifts made by local artisans.

Please note however, there will be necessary road closures affecting us over the weekend, so please plan ahead. You can still access the centre here via Great Saling.

On Saturday 28 May, the RideLondon Classique will enter the district crossing over the A120 at Blake End before heading out towards Great Dunmow via the Dunmow Road (B1256). It will reappear at Great Bardfield via Dunmow Road (B1057), up to Finchingfield and out towards Little Sampford. These will be rolling road blocks so the road should only be closed to vehicles for 10-15 minutes.

The RideLondon-Essex 100 mass participation ride on Sunday 29 May will enter the district via Felsted over the A120 and to Blake End and up Dunmow Road (B1256) back towards Great Dunmow. This will result in road closures on Dunmow Road, B1256 between 6am and 3pm.

We look forward to seeing you.
