There have been a few changes around the centre lately and not least of these being that the tea rooms are now under new management! You will now find more seating, new furniture, a great new look and a new name; we are very pleased to welcome The Grain Shed! 

Gareth took over the space here earlier this month from Sam and Hugh, who previously ran the Sconch Tea Rooms, and we are grateful to them for all they have done over the last few years since they originally took it on in lockdown. The same great team however have remained and continue to work hard serving and making delicious food, including the fabulous Helen, who is well known here for her amazing cooking, from full English breakfasts to a hearty Sunday roast!  

It is still early days but there are lots of great plans to make this space a real community hub, so look out for news on live music nights, themed events and lots more. If you are looking for a venue for your own event, please do get in touch to discuss your requirements. 

You will also find a great new menu which is being gradually expanded, and Gareth is also passionate about using high quality, locally sourced ingredients, supporting local agriculture and artisan producers.  

Open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am, so you can come early to enjoy one of those famous breakfasts, treat the family to lunch or have a mooch around the shops and finish off with cake and a drink. We look forward to seeing you!
