Essex Heats of British Lawnmower Racing Association Championships
The incredible Lawnmower Racing Championships are to be held at Blake House Craft Centre as a charity fundraising event on 10th - 11th September in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance, from 10am until 5pm.
While most people are content to use their lawnmowers to cut grass, a small band of adrenalin junkies are preparing their machines for something far more exciting – lawnmower racing! How fast can a lawnmower go? Come and find out, watch and learn more about this fantastic sport as these expert drivers race around the track at top speed for the Essex heats of this spectacular annual event put on by the BLMRA (British Lawnmower Racing Association).
With lots more for the kids to do including our popular Bounce Zone, a kids arena and rides, as well as some tasty treats including ice creams, candyfloss and popcorn, there’s great fun to be had for the whole family. Refreshments will be served all weekend by Duke’s Kitchen and we will once again be joined by a fabulous variety of stalls selling their local crafts and produce in our Country Market. This event will be supporting the Essex Air Ambulance with all gate proceeds being donated towards their lifesaving work in the area.
So for great family entertainment, mud and madness, come and visit for this special weekend and help a great cause. Take a last opportunity to see if you can conquer this year’s maize maze challenge from The Original Great Maze, open for the final weekend! Make sure you also take the opportunity to explore some of the unique craft centre shops, challenge friends on the minigolf course, visit our play park and of course see the amazing spectacle of the Lawnmower Racing.
